The ideal age to start online classical music classes is six years. But we have students who are four years old, and they’re thriving in the class! Our teachers explain the concepts very well, so they can be understood by even the youngest of students, and they make the online Indian music class engaging so the kids don’t get bored. Also, our modules are designed for music lovers of all age groups – so you can join our Indian music classes for adults, too.
If you have chosen the silver or gold package, we won’t be able to change the date as it is a group Indian music class. Please note that even if you are not able to attend a class, you are required to pay its dues. Our teachers dedicate their time and effort to creating a productive and exciting session for our students, so to honor their time, we ask this of you.
Keep in mind that even if you are not able to attend an online Indian music class, you will be provided with a recording of the class, and you are welcome to ask your questions to the teacher later! For the Platinum package, we do offer the flexibility of rescheduling the class.

Each online classical music class is 60 mins long. The class will focus on teaching a combination of concepts from Carnatic classical music that would train and strengthen the student’s voice, and a popular song that will help the student connect the concepts learned in class with how they are applied in general. Raga Labs Academy empowers the child to relate concepts learned in Indian music classes with the broader cultural environment they live in so that the musical training is relevant to their life.
Training in basics of Carnatic music teaches a student to identify notes and patterns, and develop a strong sense of musicality. By helping them relate the framework of notes to how a popular song can be learned, we enable them to apply their training in a way that helps them pick up new songs easily and form connections between what they have learned and what they listen to in daily life.
Raga Labs Academy course is not just one class per week, it is a more comprehensive learning ecosystem. There will be one online Indian music live class with a teacher to enable the student to get feedback, ask questions, and clarify key concepts. This will be followed by extensive practice modules provided to the student as assignments, where they practice the concepts using professionally produced backing tracks that help them perfect their pitch and rhythm, and submit assignments that are evaluated by our team to provide feedback on their growth. As they grow to higher levels, they will also have access to peer-learning and practice sessions conducted by senior students to supplement the live class and accelerate their growth.
