Information:

Beginner courses cover the fundamentals of Carnatic classical music starting with Basic Note Patterns (Sarali Swaras). The students then continue learning complex note patterns and develop strong vocal techniques before being introduced to Geethams and simple songs that will give them the ability to perform in small group settings.

Course timings: 5-5:45 pm

Intermediate courses build on the Beginner course and take the student’s learning to the next level! Students learn varnams to develop strong knowledge of ragas and prepare the foundation for improvization (manodharmam) that will help them create their own melodies and note patterns. In addition, students learn a rich and varied set of songs and krithis that will help them build a meaningful repertoire that they can use to perform short pieces on stage.

Online Courses: In addition to in-person training, students receive world-class digital educational modules that are accessible 24×7 and offer invaluable tips and best practices to supplement in-class training. These modules also contain quizzes and assignments that students can take to strengthen their understanding of the material, and progress faster.

Teacher: Sneha Venkat

Teacher Bio: Sneha has learnt music from the age of 3, from various Gurus namely Smt. Gowri Nagarajan and Smt. Sarada Subramanian in Dubai, U.A.E.  She continued to pursue music in Bangalore, under the training of Late Smt. Seethalakshmi Venkatesan.

Sneha has won many music competitions in Classical, Semi Classical and Light Music categories in Dubai at Dubai Art Lover’s Association (DALA), Kairali Kala Kendram and the Indian School Ajman Annual Music Competition sponsored by Air India, to name a few.  She was part of a winning music group at St. Joseph’s College, Bangalore.
She has performed at numerous cultural events and programs including Thyagaraja Aaradhana, Ramanavami, Janmashtami and Navrathri celebrations in Dubai, Mumbai and Bangalore.  She has also sung songs for the Kannada Film Industry.
Sneha has been a music teacher for the past 7+ years in Bangalore and has trained many students for performances and competitions.
