Please comment on the duration of the Fellowship. Was it too short, too long, just right? Do you have any other thoughts on it?
Having seen how much time and effort goes into each production, would you rather do multiple short pieces with simpler videography, or be part of just 2-3 pieces with more complex and creative videography? Do you have any other thoughts on this?
Round 3 collaborations often get stalled due to lack of response or slow progress with other team members. Often this is out of the IndianRaga team's control either because this is not brought to our attention, or because this is just the nature of human collaboration. Do you have any thoughts on how we can ensure that team members feel a sense of urgency to take action, and how 'irresponsible' Round 3 candidates can be identified early on and eliminated?
We understand there are costs that you have to incur to join the Fellowship. But did you realize you could do this at a much lower cost if you participated in a Raga Lab in your city? The entire production, recording, creative instruction happens without you having to travel or spend the time on creative brainstorming. Why would you do the Fellowship instead of a Raga Lab?
After doing the Fellowship, what is your expectation from your productions or from IndianRaga?
We are sure that you are aware that performance opportunities are not lucrative unless you are already a major star. Keeping that in mind, what does the Fellowship experience mean to you? Is it about the experience, or about getting famous through the productions, or something else? Your candid responses will help us design this in the right way, and attract the right type of applicants.
To save time and effort for Fellows, would it be better to do the Fellowship in different hubs - say a West Coast Fellowship, a MidWest Fellowship, an East Coast Fellowship - which would primarily only have artists from major cities in that region, so that travel time and costs are minimized? Or would you still want a forum that brings the best across the entire continent to one place?
What about the Fellowship week was new and unexpected for you, that you wish we had somehow conveyed to you earlier?
Do you have any other thoughts that could help us make this a better experience for everyone?
Excluding the application and program fee, approximately how much did you spend on attending the Fellowship Week? Would it be possible for you to provide a rough breakdown of it? Pl specify a number.
You can of course feel free to leave your name so we can contact you to clarify any of the points above or ask some follow up questions as we design future experiences. All responses will of course always be kept confidential and taken in the right spirit by the central IndianRaga team
